A K-8 Backpack Giveaway will be held from 10 am to 1 pm on Wednesday, July 24 at the headquarters building of Huron County Democrats at 127 N. Heisterman, just north of the Court House, across from the United Methodist Church in downtown Bad Axe.

This is the third year that the Democrats have collected backpacks, bookbags, and school supplies for Huron County students. The supplies are available free of charge and include pencil cases, pencils, water bottles, markers, knit beanies, notebooks and more for boys and girls. The event starts at 10 am and is first come, first serve until 1 pm or earlier if supplies are gone.

The Backpack Giveaway supports the students, parents, and teachers in Huron County schools as they prepare for back to school days.
